The Women’s Entrepreneurship and Livelihoods Initiative (WELI) seeks to address some of the post-covid related challenges through a youth-centred and gender-responsive economic empowerment project. The ultimate outcome of this project is to increase economic empowerment to strengthen resilience for Adolescent Girls and Young Women most affected by COVID-19 in targeted areas in Ghana and Senegal.

The Food & Beverage Incubation by Africa Skills Hub is an initiative designed to catalyze food innovations in Ghana due to rising levels of gender inequality in our socio-economic architecture.
YOUNG FEMALE BUSINESS SUPPORT INITIATIVE (YFBSI)
Women remain disproportionately excluded from the formal financial system. According to the 2014 Global Findex, more than one billion women are still excluded, and there is a 9% gender gap in account ownership across developing economies.
COVID-19 caused major disruptions in the way we live. Lock downs and travel restrictions brought about many forms of hardship to young entrepreneurs and professionals alike. At Africa Skills Hub, we introduced the ‘Ask the Expert HR’ virtual mentorship program to facilitate skills upgrade especially in the area of soft skills for young people.
ACCESS TO CAPITAL FOR ENTREPRENEURS (ACE)
Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE) is an initiative by Africa Skills Hub for young entrepreneurs to build their capacity in Accessing Capital, Developing Innovative Business Models, Obtaining Market Intelligence, and Equipping them with the needed resources to grow resilient and sustainable businesses post covid-19.
